When crate training beagles, start early. It’s never too early to make the kennel the place your dog will want to be in. Make it appear as if it’s fun and pleasure, and your pet will happily remain inside it. But fail at this, and you’ll have a long drawn struggle with an uncompliant or even hostile pet who fights to avoid being locked inside his crate. Never create a sense of resentment and aggression around the process of getting your beagle inside the crate.
